At DVETE, we are dedicated to reducing our environmental footprint while upholding ethical craftsmanship. As a boutique-sized brand, we produce in small, mindful quantities, restocking only when necessary to avoid excess waste. Our clothing and swimwear are crafted in small, artisanal factories in Bulgaria, where we maintain close relationships with our manufacturers to ensure responsible production practices.
Sustainability is an ongoing journey, and while we strive to incorporate preferred fibers at every stage, some materials are still in transition as we work to replace polyester with more eco-friendly alternatives. We continuously assess our impact, refining our approach to create a lower-impact future while staying true to our commitment to quality and longevity.
Sustainable Fabrics
While we strive for continual improvement, we are fully committed to using fabrics that prioritize sustainability. One of our key objectives is to eliminate polyester from our production process, replacing it with more eco-friendly alternatives.
For our swimwear, we carefully select the highest quality fabrics, chosen for their resistance to sun creams, oils, and chlorine, ensuring long-lasting wear. Our swimwear fabrics are sourced from partners who share our sustainability values, using regenerated yarns made from pre- and post-consumer waste, bio-based materials, and recycled PET, all contributing to a more sustainable future.
Waste Reduction
At DVETE, we are committed to minimizing fabric waste by making the most of every material. Many of the products on our website, such as our Marty top and select accessories, were thoughtfully crafted from fabric scraps, ensuring that we reduce our waste footprint while maintaining the high standards of quality and style that define our brand.
We take pride in creating pieces with a purpose—designed not only to be fashionable but also to support our goal of sustainability. Every product is made with the intention to reuse materials, all while ensuring they look stunning and feel amazing on every body.
Our Packing
At DVETE, we are fully committed to eliminating plastic from our packaging. All our packaging materials, from labels and tissue paper to the cardboard envelopes, are made from recycled and biodegradable paper, ensuring that every step of the process is as sustainable as possible.
In our ongoing effort to further reduce plastic use, we have replaced the plastic packaging previously used for swimwear with dust bags created in our atelier from scrap fabric. This not only eliminates plastic from this part of our packaging but also gives new life to fabric scraps, crafting a unique, custom-made dust bag for each customer. These dust bags are designed to be
reusable, allowing them to serve a purpose beyond packaging and contributing to a more sustainable future.
